After a summer of paint, plaster and filler (and that was just our make-up regime!?) we opened the doors to the Vow Bridal Gallery with our launch party on 4th Sept 2011. We invited family, friends, bridal designers, suppliers, people who had helped us with all the work, and of course brides & grooms-to-be. All helped us celebrate the hard work we had put in to the Gallery and helped us look forward to our exciting new venture!
In some respects 4th Sept 2011 seems like a long time ago, and yet sometimes it feels like only 5 minutes! So much has happened in that time:
We won the Wedding Industry Awards Best Menswear Retailer 2014 and were Regional Finalists in 2015.
We’ve appeared in various magazines both public & trade, in dedicated wedding mags as well as local lifestyle mags. We’ve had editorials & adverts and generally just tried to put the brand, which we’re so proud of, out there!
We’ve taken part in various photoshoots including at Stapleford Park, Longthorpe Tower, Langar Hall and Wansford Nene Valley Station! All varied, and all a little bit different, but with great outcomes which we’ve been so proud to have been part of.
Then there are our wedding dress designers with whom we enjoy a great relationship. Natalie & her team at Madeline Isaac-James, Sanyukta Shrestha, Terry Fox and Ramani have been both supportive to us and of course provide dresses to us with such high standards of quality. This year we’ve introduced 3 new bridal designers, Diane Harbridge and Kenneth Winston & Ella Rosa by Private Label by G. We look forward to working closely with them. We also have a constant interaction with our suit supplier looking at new styles and trends. All this has been invaluable to ensure we can give our customers the very best service and at the same time feel utterly confident in the products we are selling them.
Our biggest and latest news is our move to our fabulous new premises. Still in the same picturesque village of Wansford and with all the advantages of village parking and amenities of an hotel and pub on our doorstop, the Vow Bridal Gallery is now located in more spacious & luxurious surroundings – and we have a lovely shop window!!
We have maintained the décor similar to our original boutique – bachelor cool in the menswear rooms with exposed stone work contrasting with the industrial brushed chrome rails, and chic elegance for the brides, with daylight flooding in through the high glass ceiling of the bridal room.
Whilst we’re on a roll, we should definitely thank Just Digital who have developed our branding and who constantly bring us new ideas as well as listen to ours and also helped develop and launch our new website!
We can’t write this without reflecting on the many lovely brides, grooms and their families & friends who we’ve met along the way. The fabulous bit of this job is the rewarding warm feeling you get when a bride or groom is so happy at what we’ve done for them. It’s a cliché I’m afraid, but it’s true! We still feel privileged when we meet lovely brides and grooms and we look forward to helping many more with their very special day!
OK, so now we’re in danger of this turning into a gushing Oscar acceptance speech so we’ll stop there!
Here’s to another great 4 years ahead…
