For as long as I can remember I’ve loved dressing up – dressing well, accessorising, wearing something a bit different, and embracing many different styles. I also love people – meeting people from all different backgrounds and helping them however I can. Put those 2 things together and you’ve got a great opportunity in the bridal industry!
My background is split between the Performing Arts sector and the Environmental industry. I got a BA Honours Degree in Performing Arts from De Montfort University way back in 1993. I loved performing and it seemed a natural progression to study the performing arts in more detail.
After graduating I performed in a lot of local Am Dram shows which was a part of my life I loved.
I am a lifelong Liverpool fan which is always a bit tense. I’ve just started to bake & cook more as I felt I should at this point in my life! I like skiing although don’t get to go any more with the business. I’ve climbed Scafell Pike which was a particular goal I set myself one year. I go to Zumba to try to stay fit and keep dancing. And of course I love spending time with all my friends and family.
In amongst all that I also enjoyed a 17 year long career with the Environment Agency (yes 17 years?!!). I was an Executive Manager for the last 5 years of my time at the Environment Agency sitting on the Regional Management Team for Anglian Region.
Then a re-organisation meant I could take the opportunity to pursue a different challenge in my life. I’d reached that time in my life where I wanted to do something different. So after a lot of planning, and alongside Dave, the Vow Bridal Gallery was born!
So now I spend my days being creative again by styling brides as well as trying to run a successful business as a whole.
So if you’re a bride wanting some help with finding your perfect dress, come and spend some time with me and I’ll do my utmost to help you look the best for your big day!
